Amazon Web Services

2000px-Amazon_Web_Services_Logo.svg.pngAWS is a leading cloud service provider (CSP) and a subsidiary of Amazon. AWS provides infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS) and packaged software as a service (SaaS) offerings.

AWS offers services such as computing, storage, networking, database, analytics, application services, deployment, management, mobile, developer tools, and tools for the Internet of Things.

AWS launched in 2006 from the internal infrastructure that Amazon.com built to handle its online retail operations.

AWS services can be managed through a web-based management console, command line interface (CLI) or software development kits (SDK). With AWS, you can provision resources in seconds and build applications without upfront capital investment.

AWS was one of the first CSP introduced pay-as-you-go or pay-for-what-you-use cloud computing model that scales to provide users with computing, storage or throughput as needed.

Aws is constantly evolving and adding new offerings. AWS has more than 100 unique services including compute, storage, databases, analytics, networking, mobile, developer tools, management tools, IoT, security and enterprise applications.
